On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and First Lady Yoshiko Ishiba visited the Thang Long Industrial Park and inspected the Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd.‘s factory.
Following this, they held a round-table discussion with representatives from Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd., Denso Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., MHI Aerospace Vietnam Co., Ltd., TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Thang Long Industrial Park to discuss the impact of U.S. tariff measures.
Prime Minister Ishiba expressed his respect for the long-standing efforts of Japanese companies, including those operating in Thang Long Industrial Park, in building a good relationship between Japan and Vietnam.
He also strongly commented that the Japanese government will continue to support Japanese companies expanding overseas.
