Vinh Phuc People’s Committee (“VPPC”), Sumitomo Corporation (“SC”) and Thang Long Industrial Park (Vinh Phuc) Corporation (“TLIP3”) have agreed to work together in a new initiative which is being created specifically for inviting small and medium sized Japanese manufacturers to Vinh Phuc Province for strengthening supporting industries in the Vinh Phuc province.
VPPC is focusing on developing and promoting supporting industries in the province with the intention of attracting reputed manufacturers further and thereby generating employment opportunities.
For the last two years, TLIP3 operating with SC group as a single entity has developed an industrial park in Vinh Phuc province, Vietnam. Only having Ground Breaking Ceremony in September 2017, TLIP3 has already made huge development into construction site. Thang Long Industrial Park (Vinh Phuc) is estimated to complete phase 1 in 2018.
SC has a wealth of experience in multiple global industries for long time, they have been engaging in a wide range of businesses: handling metal products, transportation equipment, construction machinery, infrastructure, mineral resources, energy, chemical and electronic products, on a global scale. SC aims to grow together with the tenants at TLIP3 based on its business foundation and will readily use its expertise for the benefit of mutual operational gains.
The culmination of the development plans is breaking into a new era where VPPC, SC and TLIP3 agree to establish the Japan Desk for the following aims and objectives:
I. Fast Track Application:
Our goal is to enable the acceleration of the application process to an agreed timetable of completion within 3 days of submission for obtaining all necessary permissions and approvals for implementing projects in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.
II. The mobilisation of supporting industries in the province:
The Japan Desk, through VPIZA, will support the companies to check if they can get the incentives which the Vietnamese government has provided to supporting industries.
III. Enhancing quality of life of the workforce in the province:
To work with relevant authorities for improvement of living conditions and training environment for workers, which continue to generate an abundant work force in the Vinh Phuc province.
VPPC, SC and TLIP3 will enhance the functions of the Japan Desk according to the demands and requirements of small and medium sized manufacturers and supporting industries in Japan.
